Nominations are now open for the maiden edition of
CINAWARDS
The awards celebrate the contributions and achievements of students and staff of the Department of Theatre and Film Studies who helping in one way or another in making our Department the pride of the University and beyond.
Final Nomination Deadline: Midnight October 1st, 2019.
Nominations are opened to all members of staff and student of the Department of Theatre and Film Studies.
THE AWARD CATEGORIES FOR 2019 ARE:
Best Dressed Student (Male and Female) - This goes to the Student with the most admired unique style of dressing, with emphasis on cleanliness (head to toe) and an exquisite wardrobe.
Lecturer of the Year (Male and Female) - This Award is presented to an outstanding Lecturer; one who has the aspiration, inspiration and enthusiasm to teach or support students, staff and the institution, with demonstrable results.
Most Popular Student (Male and Female) - This goes to the Student that is well-known and is regarded with approval by fellow students.
Most Enterprising Student (Male and Female) - This award goes to the Student who has a mini business running or has shown entrepreneurial skills.
Most Friendly Lecturer (Male and Female) – This goes to the Teaching Staff that is always willing to talk and engage in activities with other people, he or she is inclined to associate with or be in the company of others. Friendly to staff and students.
Most Social Student (Male and Female) - This award goes to the Student who is always willing to talk and engage in activities with other people, he or she is inclined to associate with or be in the company of others.
Crabite of the year (Male and Female) - This award goes to the most cooperative, philanthropic and supportive alumni of the Department of Theatre and Film Studies.
Students Class Leader of the Year - This award goes to the Student who has exhibited leadership qualities in his or her class for the collective interest of the class.
Student Entertainer of the Year – This award goes to the Student who has the most outstanding performance in music, acting, crab or comedy.
Most Creative Student - This award goes to the Student with the most outstanding creativity in carrying out his/her Arts.
Best Student Actor - Nominees in this category must be a male acting Student in the department to be able to win the award.
Best Student Actress - Nominees in this category must be a female acting Student in the department to be able to win the award.
Best Student Director (Male and Female)– This award goes to the best Student director in his/her creative interpretation in film or on stage.
Best Student Playwright (Male and Female)- Award for the best Student playwright will go to the student in the playwriting elective who has a written play to his/her name.
